Boost platform interaction and ensure fast check-out for a secure journey of tailored pet services. Strengthen connection between pet owners and sitters.

THE BRIEF

Disclaimer: To comply with the agreed terms, I will refer to the delivered project as CUTE PAWS (standing for the name of the company) and will present only one flow with full/complete and proper details.

The company I designed the website for offers tailored pet services such as grooming, sitting and walking. It has a faithful clientele with desire to expand it and its main focus is on delivering top-notch services.
In order to do that, they realised that not only their employees and amenities suffice, but the software tool they use to interact with customers and manage orders do also. User experience in terms of software engagement is just as important as providing professional care for the pets.

DEFINING COMPANY’S CONCEPT. BRAND and GOALS

BRAND

A mix from the following adjectives.

Defined on the entire app, not just a feature or a flow.

  • User signups A goal achievable through building a faithful clientele. This strengthens the company's reliability.

  • Monthly active users

-Referrals received Achievable by providing top notch services. This is directly linked with the user signups goal, and also sales.

-Sales goals which contribute to Revenue Goals Achievable by customers booking services on a regular basis, so have to make them trust and choose the company.

-UX Goal Responsive website and flawless experience while using the app.

DESIGN WITH USABILITY IN MIND

After initial discussions with the client I was able to understand the company's background, comprehend current facts, flows and also weak spots from their perspective and to acknowledge business desired outcomes. Strategy meetings served as a guideline.

Methodical and Holistic approach from my side when conducting user research help me shape qualitative outcomes after interviewing users.

While framing the solution, some questions acted as guidelines in my design strategy:

To test and validate outcomes in different stages I have conducted usability testing.
With all gathered information and learned facts I built through functional design the solution approved and delivered to the client.

HAVE A GLIMPSE

Neat hierarchy and systematized information help user browse the page easily and find actions and details effortlessly. The need was for something simple and elegant.
Title clearly states the company's area of business and main actions invite the user to interact with the site.
As a secondary section on the page, details about the services are provided with another call for action for the user.
For full transparency, the process of how booking works is explained. All steps involved are shown to the user.
Clients feedback stands as a confirmation for the company's proficiency, all testimonials establishing the proficiency of company's services.
A dedicated section for uncertainties to be clarified is available.

MANAGE ACTIONS THROUGH ACCOUNT

A user profile is needed for booking services, manage information and create and maintain accurate the pet’s profile.

BOOK A SERVICE. ENJOY ACCESSIBILITY

All options available are presented in a straightforward way. Option to check more details is available in case user feels unsure about some topics.

After a service is chosen, specifics for it are required. Obviously, for each and every service, this page may have slightly different components, but the main purpose of this step when booking is to establish the essential technicalities.

A following step for specifics is available, in order for secondary requests and facts to be established. This step is customised depending on what service is selected for booking, but mainly consists of same characteristics needed to be filled out.

As a final step before payment, user has the chance to review his pet profile. A huge benefit of having a user profile linked with his pet profile is that all pet ’s health related details are already filled out.
Company needs to be aware of overall welfare of the pet when engaging in provided services. Furthermore, sitters have to act accordingly if it is the case of a special health condition or prescribed meds have to be administered.

Payment section is straightforward and clear. A detailed list with services and options booked is shown and after payment is registered, he can choose either to explore the site more or to view his dashboard.
